Join Us for Part 2: Best Practices Gathering
Date: Tuesday, July 16
Time: 10:30am - 11:30pm Pacific (1:30pm - 2:30pm Eastern)
Event Overview: We are excited to continue our conversation on best practices for dialogue. This gathering is part 2 of the discussion we began last month, where we delved into creating gracious conversations that include everyone. Feel free to join us, even if you were not able to come last month.
Focus for This Session: For this next Best Practices Gathering, we continue our conversation focusing on the Becoming Beloved Community curriculum, addressing anti-racism, anti-oppression, and greater intercultural competence in our communities. KI offers exceptional curricula on gracious leadership, relationship, and truth regarding oppressive dynamics. Many within the KI community have participated in and facilitated our workshops, as well as training with other organizations.
In This Session, We Will Explore:
What resources or approaches have you experienced that KI might adapt? What do you affirm about the KI Way, and what do you wonder about?
What would help your church/community embrace dialogue and learning about racism, injustice, inequity, and our call to Becoming Beloved Community?
As we create a Grace Margin for conversations about "isms" in our communities, what fears might we be overlooking?
Your Participation Matters: Your responses and experiences will provide valuable insights as the KI team continues to revise and adapt the BBC curriculum. Everyone is welcome to join us. If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate your thoughts via email or through the Google form linked below.
