Six Thursdays, February 13 to March 22, 2025, from 4:00pm-6:00pm Pacific time.

This six-week dialogue workshop and training is led by Kaleidoscope Institute (KI) facilitators and is designed to help us embrace and enact the vision of Becoming Beloved Community, which is a lifelong spiritual and faith journey. KI believes change happens in the space between comfort and fear – what Eric Law has described as the Grace Margin. Our work is based on respectful communication, building relationships where persons can change and learn in developmentally appropriate ways. This workshop and training is intended to satisfy the Episcopal and other denominational Canonical requirements for all lay and ordained leaders to participate in anti-racism training. It includes exploration of historical and contextual instances of oppression and racism in which we all participate. We use models and processes to explore bias, power, and the systems of injustice and inequality.

This workshop is offered in partnership with Bexley Seabury Seminary, an accredited learning institution for all those seeking a path to prophetic and pastoral service. Bexley Seabury pioneers theological education with a 200-year-old history and a deep commitment to a diverse and inclusive future.

Five Wednesdays, September 25 to October 23, 2024, from 9:00am-11:30am Pacific time.

This facilitator training will equip you with the resources and skills needed to coordinate and lead inclusive small group dialogues using the KI Gracious Leadership tools and processes. You will also learn strategies for inviting people to participate in dialogues aimed at fostering mutual understanding through deep listening. This training will provide valuable KI resources to support your work, ministries, and relationship-building within your congregation.

For those interested in becoming Conversation Guides, the first two sessions will prepare you for that role with KI. As Conversation Guides, you will be prepared to lead our Building Bridges Now sessions. https://www.kscopeinstitute.org/bbn

Saturday August 24 and September 7, 2024, from 8:30am-10:30am Pacific time.

This training provides the opportunity to learn and practice the basic Kaleidoscope Institute tools to build more inclusive and participatory communities. The following resources are presented:

This training is preparation to lead Building Bridges Now and may be a step towards KI Facilitator training.

The training will meet on both Saturday August 24 and September 7 from 8:30am-10:30am (Pacific)/10:30am-12:30pm (Central)/11:30am-1:30pm (Eastern)

It is necessary to attend both days of training.

If you are new to KI and have not previously attended a KI training, we invite you to begin with our Conversation Guide training before enrolling in this training.

This facilitator training will provide resources to coordinate and facilitate inclusive small group dialogue using the KI gracious leadership tools, skills and processes. Also, it will equip you with tools to learn how to invite people to come to an initial dialogue, designed to achieve mutual understanding through deep listening. This training event will provide KI resources for your work and ministries and for building and nurturing relationships in your congregation.
